Presser foot
The robust presser feet can be changed quickly and easily for different tasks.
Threader
For successful threading first time, every time.
Magnifying-glass holder
Optional: the BERNINA magnifying-glass set with different diopter strengths can be attached to the magnifying-glass holder.
Buttonholes
The automatic length-measuring system makes sewing buttonholes a breeze. Choose from a host of different buttonholes: standard, keyhole and straight stitch.
Memory
All stitches, including alphabets and buttonholes, can be saved in the memory.
Stitch length and width
Simply press the buttons to change the basic settings. All settings are displayed on screen.
Four shortcuts
Four shortcuts Available at the touch of a button when required: Needle stop u p/down, half speed, pattern end, and mirror right/ eft function. (mirror function only on activa 240)
FHS Free-hand system
Optional: A real BERNINA highlight. Use the kneelifter to raise and lower the presser foot, leaving both hands free. The simultaneous lowering of the feed-dogs protects the fabric. Ideal for free-motion techniques like darning and quilting.
Start/stop unit (optional)
Use the Start/stop button and speed regulator as an alternative to the foot control. This can save time and physical effort.
