Kim was a late bloomer when it comes to sewing. Her grandmother made her a quilt when she was young, and she wore it out. She got married and had two children so she was home for 15 years, volunteering and spending time with them until her house was empty. She decided to teach herself to sew, starting with quilting.

She began sewing and started her career in the quilting industry. She got very involved with the quilting community working at events, shows, classes and learning techniques including machine embroidery. When she learned about machine embroidery, her world opened up. She just loved OESD designs because of the vibrant colors and unique designs. Teaching has always been her dream and people are her passion. What a lucky girl she is!

Kim resides in Reno, Nevada with her husband Fred and her three mini schnauzers, Maggie, Sophie, and Edison. She enjoys reading, shopping, and all things crafty.
