Getting Started Sewing Machine (B)

Get started with your new sewing machine!  In this class you will learn the ins and outs of your sewing machine including:

• Winding a bobbin

• Threading the machine

• Cleaning and changing a needle

• Understanding the interface (buttons / screen)

• And more!

This is a free class to customers that purchased their machine from the Sewing Machine Shop. Your $20 class deposit will hold your seat and be refunded to you with a $25 gift card when you come to class.

A $75 class fee applies to outside purchased machines, and we cannot offer this class to any and all models - please call for info if you did not purchase your machine at the Sewing Machine Shop and would like to learn how to use it.

Please arrive 15 minutes before class to allow time for setup.

Supplies to bring for class: 

• Machine, power cord, foot control

• Accessories that came with your sewing machine 

• Empty bobbin

• Spool cap

• A spool of thread

• Instruction manual

Is this the right class for my machine?

This class is appropriate for most basic top-load bobbin sewing machines except: 

• Brother Luminaire

• Brother Stellaire

• Babylock Solaris

• Babylock Destiny

Call for a lesson on these machines and we will work one-on-one.

This class is also for Bernina 325 and 335

This class is not for: Bernina 7,5 and 4 series, embroidery, sergers and cover stitch machines.
