Kids' Fashion Sewing Camp - Mia Dress

Have some fun this summer and learn a new skill too. Camp fee includes a new sewing machine!

Kids Fashion Sewing Camp is open for kids ages 7-14. No sewing experience required.

In this camp, students will make The Mia Dress by Bonjour Teaspoon. This is a sweet dress with a tiered skirt and lined knit top. It ties in the back for a custom fit to your waist.



Students will learn how to sew with knit and woven fabric, how to cut and size a pattern, and many other techniques. Students will also become familiar with using and threading their machine.

Class sizes are limited to six students, so be sure to grab a spot soon.

Camp Fees:

The $399 Camp registration will include a sewing machine that will be yours to take home at the end of camp. Campers will use a Janome TravelMate30, an easy and safe sewing machine with a built-in needle threader, easy carry handle and a variety of utility and decorative stitches.

If you would like to attend camp with your own sewing machine, camp fees will be $299. You do not need to be familiar with the machine ahead of time. Please call to reserve a spot this way and to make sure your model is appropriate for the class. 925-937-7575.

Required Supplies:

- Snack and Water bottle
- Safety Waiver Filled Out (will be emailed to you prior to camp)

Optional Supplies:

You're welcome to bring your own fabrics. Supplies are limited at our shop. We will have a small variety of fun fabrics to choose from. If you'd like to bring from your own stash that is absolutely welcome. Not all materials will be appropriate for every project. The instructor will help your student with selecting fabrics. Fabric Requirements for all sizes of the dress are:
-1 yard of 56″-60″ wide knit fabric (Bodice)
-1st tier skirt & belt – 7/8 yard woven fabric
-2nd tier skirt – 1/2 yard woven fabric
-3rd tier skirt – 1/2 yard woven fabric

The pattern will fit sizes 5 - 14, please refer to the size chart for information:


Camp runs 1-4PM, Tues through Friday

Drop off is at 12:50 - 1PM
Pick up is at 4 PM

A minimum of 3 students are required to run a session. If a session can't run we will reschedule you for a different date or provide a refund.
