Quilting in the hoop allows you to create an all-over quilting look with just your embroidery machine.
In this Embroidery Essential Skills class, you'll make a table runner you can roll out on the dining table for the end of spring. There are many quilting designs offered by OESD, including pantographs and quilt blocks that you can use to expand your quilting repertoire.
We will cover topics such as placement, using templates, proper tension and stabilizer options.
These Supplies will be provided for you. Your supplies will include:
• OESD Table Runner – Black
• OESD StabilStick Template Sheet
• OESD Fuse and Fleece
• OESD Fusible Woven Black
Here is what you'll need to bring:
• Embroidery Machine in good working order**
• 6x10" hoop or Bernina oval hoop (or larger). 5" x 7" Hoop is OK too if that is your machine's max.
• Topstitch needle 90/14
• One spool Isacord, your color choice. (Variegated is a good option!) (Not black or dark)
• Small/plug spool cap
• Power cord
• USB stick for your machine
• Bobbin pre-wound same as your top thread color
• If your machine has two bobbin cases, embroidery and sewing, bring both with you to class
